DC Reasi presides over public outreach programme

REASI, Mar 1: The District Administration Reasi hosted Block Diwas proceedings today at Panchayat Dadowa of block Pouni, where Deputy Commissioner Babila Rakwal and her team of officers listened to and resolved issues raised by the people.
During the weekly Block Diwas, both PRIs and the general public of the area highlighted issues such as the updating of BPL cards, a demand for a 3-day visit by doctors, water problems at W. No.01 Dugi Kote, the requirement for a PHC at Dadowa, a bank branch and ATM, a tubewell, a playground, electric poles, and the need for staff in the Education department.
PRIs and the general public also praised the efforts of the district administration for holding awareness camps on inheritance mutation. DC Reasi focused on the empowerment of the three-tier structure and its role in developing the area, and urged PRIs to work in tandem with the district administration to address public grievances.
DC Reasi also emphasized the proper implementation of Central Sponsored Schemes and UT Capex budget works for the larger benefit of the general public so that they can be more transparent and efficient in reaching end-users. On the spot, the DC directed concerned departments to ensure priority redressal of issues highlighted by the people within a time-bound manner.
DC Reasi instructed CEO to rationalize the staff in all schools of Block Pouni. Further, XEN PDD was directed to electrify the remaining households and areas of the block, while JJM should gear up and complete all new and old water lifting and irrigation schemes within the stipulated times.
The Block Diwas was attended by DDC Pouni, Rita Devi; ACD, Anirudh Rai; CEO, Sunita Bali, XEN PHE, XEN PWD, Tehsildar Pouni, BDO Pouni besides other sectoral officers.
