| Special disability camp held at CHC Thathri | | |

DODA, Mar 1: With an aim to provide door to door services to the people of the District and for their convenience, the health department on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda organized day long special disability camp at CHC Thathri.
The camp was held under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr A H Zargar and guidance of BMO Thathri Dr Ghansham Singh.
During the camp, a team of board of doctors including Dr Fayaz ul Haq (Consultant Physician), Dr Bishen Singh (Consultant Orthopedic), Dr Ab Gafoor (MO MS Opthalmology) and Dr Aejaz Baba (MO MS ENT) examined around 170 patients who turned up to the hospital for check up & assessment of percentage of medical disabilities, out of which 131 cases were issued to get their disability certificates. CMO Doda Dr A H Zargar said that the objective of the camp was to provide multiple services to the people at their door steps, adding that the department will organize such more camps in others Medical Blocks of the District in the coming days. CMO made an appeal to the people of District Doda to visits the designated venue as per the earlier notified dates, to get disability certificates at their door steps. The locals of the area appreciated the initiative of District Administration and Health Department, hoped that more such camps shall be organized on regular mode to facilitate ruralties who otherwise have to cover long distance to avail different facilities. |
