JAMMU, JAN 5: Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, today issued a Proclamation to revoke an earlier Proclamation, issued by him on 10th July 2008, in exercise of powers conferred on him by Section 92 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, whereby he had assumed all the functions of the Government of the State.
According to a Raj Bhavan Spokesman, the Governor issued the Proclamation before swearing in the new Council of Ministers headed by Mr. Omar Abdullah, here this afternoon, bringing to an end the period of Governor’s Rule in Jammu and Kashmir which had commenced on 10th July 2008.
