| Samajwadi Party holds meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU DEC 6: State Office bearers of Samajwadi Party under the Chairmanship of Party State President, Sheikh Abdul Rehman held a meeting at State Party. As per release it is a matter of great satisfaction that in the recently concluded Assembly Elections, more than 60% of voters participated in spite of boycott calls given by the separatists. However SP feels that this election cannot be called as fare and transparent election. Slogans used during campaign had communal and regional tones. Tow agitations held both in Jammu & Kashmir regions in the wake of Sh. Amaranth Shrine Board land dispute had polarized the voters to a large extent and vitiated the political atmosphere. This straightway benefited BJP in Jammu region and PDP in Kashmir. Government machinery, wine & black money was used freely by the major political parties to lure the voters, which are dangerous to the future of the democracy. SP hopes that the announcements made by Omar Abdullah regarding eradication of corruption, unemployment and balanced development of all regions come true but apprehends that fulfillment of these promises made by him shall squarely depends upon the king of team he chooses the release added
