NC legislators, office bearers hail alliance with Congress

Jammu, Jan 06-Expressing confidence that coalition government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah shall ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the state viz Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh and the problems of the youth of the remote areas of the state shall be addressed on priority, several National Conference leaders, including contested candidates, elected legislators, MLCs and District Presidents, at a meeting held here today termed the formation of NC-Congress coalition government as a defeat to the parties who believe in regionalism and religion.
The meeting also passed a resolution congratulating Omar Abdullah on taking over as
Chief Minister and resolved to strengthen his hands to make coalition government a success.
Addressing the meeting, Ajay Sadhotra, provincial president of the party, asked all the contested candidates to give their suggestions in further strengthening the party. He also asked the participants to strengthen the coalition government and take programs and polices of the government at every door stop so that people could have a feeling of new government under the dynamic leadership of Omar Abdullah.
He also congratulated Omar Abdullah for inducting Surjeet Singh Slathia as Cabinet Minister.
The meeting was among others addressed by S.S Slathia, RL Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Kr. Rachpal Singh, A.G Malik, Aijaz Ahmed Jan, R.S. Sharma, S.A Kitchlo, M.A Bukhari, D.S Singh Rana, M.R. Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, Mohammed Aslam Khan Ghulam Hyder Malik, Dr. Chaman Lal, Abdul Karim Wani, Mohammed Aslam Goni, CM Sharma, Mohinder Gupta, Satpal Lakhotra, BA Wani, Vipan Pal Sharma, Abdul Wahid Shan, Anila Shaheen, Taranjeet Singh Tony, Ch. Liaqat Ali, Sajjad Shaheen, G.H. Mughal, S.N Manyal, Yashpal Bhagat, Ramesh Motan, Pardeep Bali, Romy Khajuria, Dharampal, Ravinder Slathia, Devender Singh Bindu, Sunil Verma, Jagdish Singh and Lal Chand Musafir.
