| Suspects of Mendhar built-up being questioned | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7- After Muneeza Begum and Muzaffar Shah, a retired ASI, suspected to be involved in aiding militants in establishing safe sanctuary in Mendhar area of Poonch, continued to feign ignorance in the Joint Interrogation Centre(JIC) were subjected to a polygraph test. Official sources said that when the duo refused to divulge anything during sustained questioning in the JIC yesterday, the experts subjected them to undergo lie detector test. The sources said that the details of the test would be available late this evening. The sources said that Muneeza Begum had changed her statement which she had given to the police in Poonch soon after her arrest. In the JIC she did not repeat what she had told the police in Poonch. She had told the police that her husband who is working in Saudi Arabia had been persuading her to provide assistance to militants in fortifying their positions in the forest belt. But during questioning in the JIC she had not said anything about her husband. Sources said that some people including Muneeza and Muzaffar had provided material and logistic support to the militants in building concrete bunkers in the forest belt. This had been the reason for their success in playing hide and seeks with the troops for more than seven days now.
