Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 07- The death of former Chief Minister and President Awami National Conference G M Shah, who passed away at Srinagar last evening has been widely condoled. The newly inducted cabinet ministers, Abdul Rahim Rather, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Nawang Rigzin Jora, S. S. Slathia and S. L. Sharma have expressed deep shock and sorrow over the demise of former Chief Minister, Ghulam Mohammad Shah. In their separate condolence messages, they said that Shah was a visionary leader of the state and his contribution for the development of the state would be long remembered. They expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. The working committee of JKNPP in its emergency meeting also condoled the death of former Chief Minister, Ghulam Mohammed Shah and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former minister for tourism, Mohammad Dilawar Mir has expressed his profound grief and shock over the sad demise of former chief minister G M Shah. In a condolence message, Mir has termed Shah as a statesman who left an indelible mark as an able administrator. "He will be remembered as a sympathizer of the weaker sections of the society and one who always strived hard for their upliftment," Mir said and described Shah as a pioneering leader who stood for high values in politics and public life. Mir said that with his death, Jammu and Kashmir has lost a great and visionary leader and able administrator, who left no stone unturned to ameliorate the lot of the poor masses. Senior member of All India Muslim Personnel Law Board and chief patron of Jamia Zia-ul- Uloom Molana Ghulam Qadir has also expressed grief over the said demise of Shah and described him as an energetic leader and an able administrator. Chairman Khidmat Foundation Sayeed Ahmed Habib has also condoled the demise of Shah. National Conference, Jammu province today in an emergent convened meeting of District Presidents, Block Presidents, Legislators, ex-Legislators and contested candidates condoled the sad demise of former Chief Minister of the State and Awami National Conference (ANC) Patron, Ghulam Muhammad Shah. The condolence meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Ajay Sadhtora Provincial President expressed shock and grief over the demise of Shah and described his death as an irreparable loss to the state. Paying tributes to late Shah, Ajay Sadhotra said with the death of Shah Sahib the state has lost a visionary leader and an able administrator, who during his life time worked to ameliorate the lot of the poor masses. S. Harbans Singh Senior Vice President while paying tributes to late Shah said that his death has left a big vacuum in the political arena of the State, which was difficult to be filled. The party leaders conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the family of the bereaved and prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
