JAMMU, Mar 24: DDC Member Suchait Garh Taranjeet Singh Tony today inaugurated a 2-day Photo Exhibition on "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav"G20 and Mission Life and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (C.B.C), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Regional office Jammu J&K. The Photo Exhibition at installed at Panchayat Garh Basti Gulab garh Suchaitgarh is part of various outreach activities being organised by C.B.C in UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
The 2 day long exhibition showcases the freedom struggle of India through a series of photo frames exhibited in the exhibitions. Apart from this, special section in the exhibition has been dedicated to G20 Summit India.
In his address DDC member appreciated the efforts of the CBC Regional Office Jammu in organising the exhibition and urged people to visit dedicated corners for "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav " and G20. Regarding the G20 Summit India he highlighted various aspects of infrastructure as an asset class, promoting quality infrastructure investment and identifying innovative instruments for mobilizing financial resources for infrastructure investment.
He emphasised on the need for unity and communal harmony in the country.
Joint Director Central Bureau of Communication Regional office J&K Leh, Ghulam Abbas gave a detailed overview of the functioning structure and working of C.B.C in the twin U.Ts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. He also briefed the audiences about various outreach activities that will be organised during the event. Abbas said that these programmes are being organised so that people get benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government. Expert lectures from the representatives of ICDS, health, Education, Agriculture department delivered detailed lectures s on the various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented by their respective departments. Departmental stalls from various departments were also installed at the venue for the benefit of public at large.
Vote of thanks was presented by Rajesh Sharma C.B.C Kathua. The programme was organised by Madam Gopal from CBC Regional Office Jammu. The programme culminated with prize distribution and light refreshment.
