Mission Director reviews implementation of NHM in Kathua
Assesses ongoing works at Govt Medical College

KATHUA, Mar 24: Mission Director J&K National Health Mission, Ayushi Sudan, today visited Kathua and convened review meeting with Chief Medical Officer, all BMOs, DPMU and BPMU officials regarding the physical and financial status of various schemes of NHM being implemented in the district including infrastructure development.
She took stock of all health indicators and directed the CMO, BMOs and management staff to ensure enhanced coordination at all levels for effective implementation of NHM in the district. She asked for conducting regular field visits for better implementation of healthcare schemes.
MD also participated in celebration of World TB Day at GMC Kathua and distributed mementos and the participants. She also congratulated the District TB Team for getting bronze medal under NTEP.
Later, MD had an inspection tour of various ongoing works at Associated Hospital GMC Kathua including status of Cancer Institute. She directed the concerned for ensuring timely completion of all ongoing works.
The visit concluded with a brief meeting with Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey, regarding the Mission implementation in the district.
Principal GMC Kathua Dr. Surinder Atri, CMO Dr. Rakesh Magotra, State Nodal officer NQAS, State Cancer Institute and DNB Programme, Dr. Jatinder Mehta, Dr. Sangita Ajrawat, Medical Superintendent AH GMC Kathua, Programme Manager Dr. Parvesh Chalotra and other officers from State Health Society were present.
