BKS holds an Audio Visual program highlighting Dogra Art and Culture

Jammu, Mar 24: Bhartiya Kala Sangam today held an Audio Visual program in order to highlight traditional art and culture of Dogra land in Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu. The programme was organised with the support of grants in aid from the Ministry of Culture Govt of India. BTI Section.
The programme was witnessed by Chairman of the School, Ghambir Singh Charak, teaching staff, students in which T. R. Sharma, KAS (Retd), Chairman and Romesh Singh Chib Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam were also present.
While welcoming the management of the school and students, T. R. Sharma briefly explained the charter of activities being done by Bhartiya Kala Sangam with special reference to the Audio Visual program meant to get the students acquainted with the traditional art and culture of Dogras.
He said this programme was earlier held at different locations of Jammu areas by BKS in schools, other institutions, local spots with the help of concerned School Heads, Chairman, Principals, Panchs, Sarpanches, BDC members to carry forward the message of regional art and culture through the project of Audio Visual program prepared by Bhartiya Kala Sangam.
The Chairman of the School lauded the efforts of BKS for showing audio visual programs to spread knowledge amongst students about Dogri traditional art and culture. He hoped that such programmes shall also be held in the school in future.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Romesh Singh Chib, Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam. He specially thanked the Ministry of Culture Govt of India BTI Section, New Delhi.
The programme reflects the humane value in the upcoming generation, which was witnessed by 2000 students, teachers and other public. A proper documentation was done by Bhartiya Kala Sangam by using professional HD Cameras. The activities were very much beneficial to the students which were sequence-wise channelized in a befitting manner.
For the knowledge and benefit of students, audio visual material was given to the students to enhance knowledge about our traditions, art and culture, especially music, dance and drama.
