Mind your language, set facts right: Raman Suri asks Farooq Abdullah
3/25/2023 10:02:36 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 25: Condemning the statement of Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah wherein he referred to "God Ram" at a public meeting organised by turncoat Harsh Dev Singh where Congress leader Raman Bhalla was also present, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today asked the National Conference (NC) leader to mind his words and set his facts right before uttering anything defamatory that hurts the sentiments of people.
Raman Suri said that Farooq Abdullah, while addressing the meeting uttered, "Those who sing praises of their God Ram are fools and they have nothing to do with God Ram. They want to sell Ram. They only want power. Ram has been sent by Allah to show people right path". These words uttered by Farooq Abdullah are against the ethics and aimed at misguiding and creating unrest amongst the people, Suri said, adding that this is nothing by indecency on the part of the NC leader.
Raman Suri, while reminding Farooq Abdullah the importance of God Ram in Hinduism said, "Those who sing praises of their God Ram are neither fools nor selling their God. These people are staunch followers of Hinduism and worshippers of God Ram, whose life was imbued with symbolism." He added that Hindus worship God Ram, who according to them, personifies the characteristics of an ideal person popularly known as Maryada Purushottam Ram.
Asking Farooq Abdullah to desist from making such statements, he said that God Ram is a major deity in Hinduism. He is the seventh and one of the most popular Avatars of God Vishnu. Farooq Abdullah must set his facts right and if not, then stop meddling into the religious affairs of Hinduism. God Ram is also considered the Supreme Being and nothing against him or Hinduism will be tolerated. Shri Ram Temple, Raman Suri said, is very close to the hearts of millions of Hindus across the world and NC leader like Farooq Abdullah is too tiny to even comment on the sanctity of that temple and is hardly bothered about God Ram.
Raman Suri said, the Former Chief Minister must apologise and stop commenting upon God Ram, his temple coming up at Ayodhya, Hinduism or followers of God Ram. He just cannot go on speaking anything against our Gods and that too in the presence of two NPP and Congress leaders who stayed as mute spectators and allowed such utterances go unabated against Hinduism, followers of God Ram and the temple that is very important to the Hindus.
