Course on "Investigation of Cyber Crime" commenced

JAMMU, Mar 28: Five days course on "Investigation of Cyber Crime" commenced at S.K Police Academy Udhampur on 23rd of March, 2023 culminated today. In the course 22 officers of J&K Police participated. The Course was designed as a tool for capacity building of the investigating officers of J&K Police to tackle the increasing menace of Cyber Crime in the virtual space. There was wide range of discussions, deliberations and demonstrations on the areas covering types and techniques of foot printing, Computer Forensics, modus operandi of Hacking, operating systems, Denial of service attacks, Basic Network Protocols, Crypto Currency, vulnerability of financial transactions. During the course eminent speakers from Govt. College of Engineering & Technology Jammu and Cyber experts from J&K Cyber Police Station delivered lectures as well as faculty from SKPA also delivered lecture to the participants. On the occasion a valediction function was organized in the Academy. Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, JKPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor Trgs) SKPA was the chief guest on the valediction function and he laid stressed on the participating officers to keep update yourself with the modern techniques of handling Cybercrimes, so that being first responders you should know what is to be done when a Cybercrime reported.
The course was coordinated by Rohit Gupta, Inspector and assisted by HC Randip Singh under the guidance of Sr. officers of Academy.
