Development narrative of BJP 'castle in air', ground reality exactly opposite: RL Gupta
3/28/2023 11:24:07 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 28: Rattan Lal Gupta, National Conference Provincial President Jammu on Tuesday termed the development narrative trumpeted by the BJP leadership as 'Castle in the air', claiming that the ground reality is exactly contrary to what is being 'broadcast' day in day out.
In a statement issued to media persons, the senior NC leader said that the government has miserably failed on all fronts in J&K as different sections of people are forced to hit roads and streets seeking justice which is nowhere in the sight as the party and LG administration sitting at helm believe in monologue and never bothered to feel the sufferings of people including KPs, daily wagers, employees posted in Valley, job aspirants facing scams one after another, and the common man confronting record inflation, highest ever unemployment, taxes imposed and implemented by the heartless rulers of the day.
Lambasting the BJP leadership, Rattan Lal said that despite ruling the country and J&K for nearly nine years the saffron brigade still finds solace in decrying the successive governments with bogus claims that they didn't perform well in the past whereas the reality is that it is BJP leadership which has utterly failed in accomplishing anything significant for the people of J&K and the country.
Gupta said that the reality is that the present BJP Government is involved in misrule and irregularities as the scams are surfacing one after another. He said that the administration has also failed to contain the menace of drugs and substance abuse as under its realms in J&K. He said that leave aside other matters, it is first time in the history of J&K that the so-called 'Development Sarkar' has miserably failed to provide regular power supply during the holy Navratras and Ramadhan. He said that BJP's 'Balloon of Development' has been punctured as many areas are without water , power and other essential commodities during the sacred month showing incompetence of highest level.
The NC stalwart said that the government in J&K has proficiency only in opening wine shops in every nook and corner, supporting mining mafia, and raising illegal toll plazas to increase the riches of those having close ties with the people sitting at helm.
The Provincial President asserted that the dictatorial administration badly neglected the elected public representatives of local bodies while taking any decision regarding property tax or GST on essential commodities. "In actual, BJP betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir for not fulfilling the commitments and promises made with the common man and the youth of J&K while coming to power and it is time to root BJP out from every institution to ensure and establish democracy in real sense", he added.
