Srinagar, September.17/: Two women are among 25 passengers injured in a road accident at Hamray Pattan on Srinagar-Baramulla National High way today. The condition of six injured persons is stated to be critical. Reports reaching Srinagar indicate that a passenger bus bearing no: JKS/8077 was on its way to Kupwara, when a woman tried to cross the road in haste At Hamray Pattan and driver while trying to stop the bus applied breaks, but he lost control and bus turtled and went upside down. Resultantly 25 passengers identified as Mehraj-ud-Din, Ab Rashid Ahanger, Akhter Hussain, Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, Gh Ahmed Sheikh, Raja Mohd Khan, Jamal-ud-Din, Gh Ahmed, Mehjabeen Bano, Azi Begum, Mohd Ulfat R/O Nepal, Mohd Akbar Lone and Ali Mohd R/O Sopore were injured. The six critically injured persons were shifted to SKIMS Soura immediately, while as first aid was given to rest of the injured person in a nearby local hospital. Police rushed to the trouble spot immediately and registered a case under FIR No: 179/06 and started investigating the matter. |
