Jammu, Apr 7: As per the instructions from union ministry of health and Dental council of India,World health day was celebrated by Indira Gandhi Government Dental College and Hospital, Jammu on 7th April 2023.
Under the able guidance of Dr Rakesh Gupta (Dean and Principal, IGGDC, Jammu) Dr Iqbal Singh (HOD, Public health dentistry) Department of Public Health Dentistry and his team comprising of Dr Renu Bhagat, Dr Anu Gandral, Dr Amita Parihar and Dr Manisha Koul conducted various health awareness programs to mark the celebrations of World Health Day.
Also some online webinars were conducted for various schools across Jammu District in which health awareness education was provided to school children.
An oral health screening camp was also conducted at Ved Mandir Bal Niketan Orphanage, Amphalla on 6th April 2023 to educate the children regarding maintenance of oral hygiene. Furthermore, many health education camp were conducted in slum areas to educate the high risk population regarding health and well-being. |
