| BJP charges NC MLA of targeting a particular section in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Jan 10- While thanking the people of the district for their overwhelming support to the party candidate in the recently concluded assembly elections, the BJP today criticized the ruling National Conference winning candidate of adopting undemocratic means and targeting a particular section of the people. ‘We believe that in a democratic setup, the politics should be kept aside after elections and the winning candidates should work to fulfill their promises without any discrimination and nepotism’, the party in a handout said. It further alleged that for the last 60 years, Kishtwar has remained highly neglected and is still considered as one of the most backward region of J&K. ‘We do feel the self- interest, nepotism and cheap politics of Kishtwar leadership have remained responsible for it’, the BJP in the handout said. The party highlighted the pitiable condition of roads and regretted that despite survey, the work on Karthai power project has not been taken up so far for the reasons best known to the authorities The party demanded that one per cent of the revenue generated from the Dul Hasti project, as promised by the Prime Minister, should be spent on development of the area.
