| Simplify voting procedure of KP's: Anil Dhar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan10- Anil Dhar, senior Vice President, J&K National Conference Minority cell on Saturday appealed to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to simplify the procedure for Kashmiri Pandit (KP) migrants to cast their votes in the same manner as is available to other citizens of the country.
Dhar in a statement expressed anguish over the difficulties faced by the KP migrant voters in exercising their franchise while casting their votes. He asked the Election Commission to do away with the burdensome process of filling up of “M” forms and undergoing other difficult procedures for exercising right to franchise.
Criticizing the discrimination meted out to Kashmiri Pandit migrant voters in this regard, he appealed Election Commission for issuing Photo Identity Cards to the migrant voters for the forthcoming Parliamentary election.
In his statement he also thanked all Kashmiri Pandits for whole heartedly supporting and voting for National Conference candidates in recent assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
