| Ex-Servicemen rally at Reasi | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Jan 10- Brigadier (Retd) RS Langeh, Director Sainik Welfare Department, along with Lt Col (Retd) Man Singh Jamwal, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Udhampur visited Reasi in connection with ex-servicemen rally held at Reasi today. A large number of ex-servicemen/ widows from far-flung areas of Reasi, Mahore, Arnas, Katra, Ransoo, Pouni, Bharakh and Bhamble were present on the occasion. Brigadier Langeh spoke on various concessions and welfare schemes extended by the Central/State Governments for the welfare of ex-servicemen and the widows. He apprised ex-servicemen and widows the importance of joint notification for family pension and publication of part II orders. He also informed about Prime Minister scholarship schemes like daughter’s marriage grant, demise grant, ADLR Scheme, relief to ex- Jammu and Kashmir Militia personnel who were discharged at their own request/on medical grounds and to non-pensioners. He also stressed all to become members of ECHS under which complete medical cover is provided to the pensioners as well as dependents. On this occasion, Brigadier Langeh distributed cash relief of Rs.5000 for daughter’s marriage to Rukam Devi Wife of Gdr Amar Nath and Sewing machines to Ram Kumari widow of Late L/Nk Kartar Nath, Santosh Kumari widow of Late Sep Chamel Singh, Sumitra Devi widow Late Nk Kartar Singh, Sureshtra Devi widow of Late Nk Ramesh Lal, Parkasho Devi widow of Late Rfn Kisho Ram and Toshi Devi Widow of Late Rfn Krishan Lal. While speaking on the occasion Brig Langeh assured the ex-servicemen /widows of the area of providing every possible help to them.
