RAJOURI, Apr 12: Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Wednesday chaired a public outreach camp as part of the weekly Block Diwas program here at Trala Panchayat in Block Koteranka.
During the program, the people projected issues related to the macadamization of roads, up-gradation of schools, paucity of staff in government institutions, scarcity of water, and sought augmentation of health infrastructure.
Specific issues raised included the speedy implementation of JJM, provision of electricity poles and wires, extension of the road from Rehan to Bhass, early completion of work on the road from Soda to Galla, additional classrooms for GHSS Trala, and renovation of the Rajouri to Peeri road.
The Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to the concerns and issues projected by the people and assured prompt action. He directed the officials present to take necessary steps to resolve the issues on a priority basis. He also emphasized the importance of good governance and transparency in the delivery of public services and urged people to come forward and participate in such programs to ensure that their issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Highlighting a number of Government schemes and programs, the DC said that the District Administration is committed to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the last beneficiary in the queue.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that appropriate measures would be taken to ensure the time-bound redressal of the genuine public concerns.
In response to the issue of scarcity of water, the DC said that dedicated efforts are being made to complete the work on JJM schemes in time to provide necessary benefits to the general public. He also informed that the work on 31 JJM schemes out of 35 has been allotted in the block.
Responding to the issue of the shortage of classrooms in HSS Trala, the DC assured that two additional classrooms and one examination hall will be developed in School.
The DC also directed officers to come up with solutions for the issues and provided them with necessary guidance and support. He assured the people that their problems would be resolved within a stipulated period of time.
The event was attended by a group of senior government functionaries, including ADC Koreranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; LDM, Sanjeev Bhasin; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; ARTO, Shami Kumar; and Tehsildar Koreranka, Summit Kohli, among others.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also visited HSS Trala where he interacted with the students and enquired about the quality of education being provided to them at the institution. He also urged the staff members to improve the quality of education and provide good learning to the students. He also visited a link road leading to HSS Trala.
