JAMMU, Apr 15: The World Yog Institute organized the Yog Revival Program on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and Baisakhi at Hari Ki Pauri, Bagh e Bahu, Jammu. The event aimed to promote the practice of yoga and its benefits, and it witnessed an overwhelming response from the people of Jammu.
The Yog Revival Program included various cultural events from ICCR and events from AYUSH, which showcased the rich cultural diversity of India. The World Yog Institute also conducted various yoga sessions, which were led by expert instructors and aimed to promote physical and mental well-being.
The highlight of the event was the presence of the esteemed chief guest, Atul Kothari, who graced the occasion with his august presence. Kothari is a renowned educationist and a well-known social activist who has dedicated his life to the promotion of education and social welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, Kothari guided the attendees through an OM meditation and emphasized the importance of yoga in today's fast-paced life. He lauded the efforts of the World Yog Institute in organizing the Yog Revival Program and urged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily routine.
Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, who was the guest of honour, disseminated information on the role of Yoga in transforming lives of people. He said that Yoga is answer to many problems of today's world as through lifestyle changes which the Yoga suggests people can become healthy and wise. He said that Yoga can make body and mind strong enough to combat seasonal virus bravely.
The event was also graced by the presence of several eminent personalities as guest of honours, including Yudhvir Sethi, BJP Vice President, J&K and Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor, Jammu; Rajesh Kumar IAS Director ICCR and Passport, Pankaj Magotra VC JDA. All of them spoke about the importance of yoga in our lives and how it can help in promoting physical and mental well-being.
Special mention is Yogguru Karan Singh Ji, Chairman, World Yog Institute (Vishw Yog Sansthan), who reiterated that the World Yog Institute now plays a crucial role in Yog Revival starting from its headquarters in Jammu and spreading across India and the world. He stated that yoga is a gift from India to the world and that it is the responsibility of every Indian to promote this ancient practice.
The Yog Revival Program organized by the World Yog Institute was a great success, and it received an overwhelming response from the people of Jammu. The event helped in promoting the rich cultural heritage of India and also created awareness about the benefits of yoga. The World Yog Institute hopes to continue organizing such events in the future to promote the practice of yoga and to create a healthier and happier society.
