| CCE-2009 forms on sale from today | | 398 posts to be filled up by direct recruitment: PSC | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 11- The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (PSC), which has invited applications for J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2009 (CCE) for direct recruitment to the posts in the pay scale of Rs.7500-12000, will commence sale of application forms from tomorrow, January 12, 2009. The last date for receipt of application forms, complete in all respects, will be February 16, 2009. Out of the 398 vacancies notified by the Commission for direct recruitment, 210 have been notified for Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service, 84 for J&K Police (Gazetted) Services and 104 for J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Services. The category-wise break up of vacancies and other details are available on the Commission’s website at www.jkpsc.org and have also been published in newspapers. The PSC has developed an electronically- scan able application form for CCE-2009, which can be processed on computerized machines. The application form, along with syllabus for the preliminary examination, instructions for filling up the application form, acknowledgement card and an envelope for submitting the application form, will be available at PSC offices at Pragati Bhavan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu and Polo Ground, Srinagar as well as District Post Offices, District Branch Offices in J&K Bank of J&K State and the J&K Bank, branch, Prithvi Raj Road, New Delhi. The PSC has advised all candidates to read eligibility conditions prescribed for the examination in detail and go through the instructions before filling in the application form. They have also been advised not to wait till the last date and submit their application forms at the earliest so that it reaches the Commission’s office in time. The PSC has clarified that it will not be responsible for any postal or courier delays and any application form received after the last date (February 16, 2009) shall not be entertained. The Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examinations, 2009 will consist of two successive stages including Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for selection of candidates for the main examination and Combined Competitive (Main) Examination (Written & Interview) for selection of candidates for various services and posts indicated above. The candidates, who are declared by the Commission to have qualified the preliminary Examination, will be eligible for admission to the main examination, dates for which will be notified in due course. They will have to apply again on the prescribed application form for the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, which would be made available by the Commission.
