| Deputy CM reaches constituency to rousing welcome | | | Early Times Report
Jammu January 11- Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand has said that the fast track recruitment process would be soon resumed to provide employment avenues to the unemployed youth of the state. Addressing a series of gatherings at Jourian, Khour, Pangali, Mirpur and Gigriyal, during his maiden visit to home constituency after assuming his new assignment in the recently formed coalition government, he said the process of recruitment which was left half way would be resumed for engaging educated youth against the available vacancies. Elaborating on the achievements registered on developmental front during last stint of his party in the government, Deputy CM said that during this period the state witnessed unprecedented progress in every sector including massive expansion of education and other vital services. He said, however, unfortunately the circumstances forced the government to leave the massive drive for recruitment half way. Congratulating the people of the constituency for his victory, he said they should be grateful to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh who selected a representative of border people to hold the second highest position in the new government. He pledged for continuing the agenda of his party of safeguarding the interests of all regions and communities of the state. "In my new capacity I will always endeavour to don the agenda of my party of safe guarding the interest of people rising above, regional, communal, and caste considerations" , he added. Asserting that every effort would be made to achieve the targets set by the last government, he said the massive development programme launched across the state would be resumed by accelerating the work on pending projects and taking up new mega projects in hand. . He said the aspirations of the people would be safeguarded by launching people welfare schemes in every part of the state. Deputy Chief Minister said that remote and far-off areas would continue to receive special attention in the development process and assured that the state would witness all round development and transformation in the years to come under the present regime as well. Interacting with the people en-route Mr. Tara Chand said that government was aware of people's problems and would take adequate measures to solve them and provide better facilities to the people. Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minster was received by the enthusiastic people of enroute from Jammu Mishrewala, Jourian, Khour, Pangali, Mirpur and Gigriyal villages who had assembled to receive their leader. At all these places he was given a rousing reception.
