Vishwa Bharati celebrates foundation day

JAMMU, Apr 21: Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated its 72nd foundation day with great enthusiasm and gaiety. As the foundation day marks the journey of the school from the day of its very inception, the whole school was fabulously decorated with flowers, buntings and decorative colourful strips to make it a festive look. A special morning assembly was organised on the eve of foundation day in which students presented various cultural items. Some students and teachers delivered speeches over the history of the school and its meritorious service for spreading education in the society.
The day long programme started with puja ceremony in the campus The ritual ceremony was performed by the members of governing board and other dignitaries of the institution including J.L. Koul, President Vishwa Bharati Women's Welfare Institution, Dr. V.K. Ganjoo, General Secretary Vishwa Bharati Women's Welfare Institution, Prof. A.N. Sadhu Chairman Academic Committee, Dr. S.K. Koul Secretary Vishwa Bhrati J&K Units, Yoginder Koul Member Bharati Women's Welfare Institution, B.L. Saraf Former Session Judge, Bharati Bhat, Principal Vishwa Bharati College of Education, Annapurna Koul, Principal Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School and all the staff members of Vishwa Bharati Institution and heads of different social, cultural and religious organisation .
An elaborate Hawan was organised and sacred mantras were chanted for the further growth and welfare of the institution. The teaching and non - teaching staff chanted holy hymns in the satsang with divine feelings and devotion. The whole puja ceremony culminated with the purnahuti by all management committee members, teachers and non - teaching staff offered in the Hawan which was followed by the distribution of refreshment, prashad in the form of lunch and sweets to everyone.
