| NSUI urges for establishing swami Vivekanand chair in JU | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 12 The National Students Union of India (NSUI) unit J&K organized a function on the eve of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda ji which is also celebrated as the National Youth Day across the country. On the occasion NSUI activists under the leadership of Abdul Rashid Choundary state president of NSI visited Vivekananda Chowk and garlanded the statute of Swami ji. Choudhary, while speaking on the occasion revealed that NSUI has decided voluntarily to adapt Vivekananda Chowk for one year to see the cleanliness and overall maintenance and would make the place of vibrant centre for the propagation of Sawami ji’s teachings to youth’ is the best mantra to individual’s and national’s success. Further stated that NSUI have constituted the “Sawami Vivekananda Youth Leadership and Academic Excellence Award” every year for the two persons with extra ordinary achievements in social and academic fields. The award shall comprise of a certificate, a memento and Rs. 2000/- in cash to each. A delegation of NSUI activists led by Raj Kamal Arayan called on Prof. Varun Sahani, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University and submitted a memorandum demanding, the establishment of Swami Vivekananda Chair in JU soon as to spread and popularize the massage and teaching of Sawami Vivekananda among the youth of the region and country. The programme was organized activist, who were present on the occasion include Mehboob Azad, Ajhta Shatru Sharma, Ifthkar Ahmed, Varun Magotra, Nitish Mahajan, Sushant Gupta, Bageshwar Singh, Abhishek, Rayaz Ahmed, Sajaid Ahmed, Sumit, Swarn and Anuj Malhotra.
