| Tetra Tech India gives presentation of draft master plan for Leh | | |

Leh, Jan 12- Tetra Tech India Ltd which has been engaged for preparation of Master Plan for Leh town and other projects like sewerage and drainage system for the town, today gave a digital presentation of the Draft Plan Report to the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh.
The Chief Executive Councilor, Chering Dorje, Executive Councilors, Tsering Norbu Lampa, Dorje Motup, Mohammed Khan and Stanzin Delik were present at the presentation. The Deputy Commissioner, AK Sahu, district officers and representatives of various NGOs also present on the occasion.
Addressing at the presentation ceremony, Chering Dorje said that Master Plan of Leh town would be an innovative and futuristic with very important components like sewerage and drainage system, drinking water management, up gradation of internal roads and slums, solid waste management and flood disaster management .He said that Leh town will have a population of nearly one lakh in next 30 years and as such the Master Plan of the town need to be finalized with much brain storming work seeking views and suggestions from the stake holders and experts.
Terming the New Master Plan of Leh town as one of the top priority work for LAHDC, Dorje said that they have engaged a reputed agency the Tetra Tech India Ltd for preparation of the new Master Plan with an aim to make Leh town an organized and systematic one in all respect.
He expressed his satisfaction over the preliminary work of draft plan report and said that a more detailed presentation in this regard would be given in next month in Leh by inviting experts and prominent citizens who would make their inputs to make the plan more advantageous.
The Deputy Commissioner suggested more home work, study and inputs in this matter before its finalization in order to give a revolutionary project for the people of the district.
The consultants of Tetra Tech India Ltd. Rajiv Goyal and M Shishant Sharma gave the presentation on various aspects of the Master plan.
