| | | KP Forum demands bill on Kashmiri Hindu Shrines Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 12- Kashmiri Pandit Forum in an emergent meeting held under the Chairmanship of its President Ravinder Kaul has appreciated the participation of Kashmiri Pandits in the recently held assembly elections in the state in spite of the boycott call given by various self styled leaders of the community. The Forum has urged the newly elected young and dynamic Chief Minister of the State to fulfill the promises made by him for the upliftment and rehabilitation of exiled Kashmiri Pandit community as they have all along been ignored by both the Central and the State Government. The Forum has appealed the Chief Minister of considering giving representation to a person of the community who has all along worked for the betterment of this community both in and outside the valley. The Forum expressed the hope that due consideration will be given to this issue while choosing a representative of this community. The Forum also urged the Government to introduce the Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Religious Places (management and regulation) Bill 2008 in the first Session of the State Legislature Assembly to enable proper control of such Shrines and Temples in the State. The meeting among others was attended by Rajesh Handoo, Ravinder Tickoo, Anil Bhat, AK Kaul, Anil Kaul, Sanjay Kaul and S.K.Kaul.
