Ayush J&K Organized Camp For Sanitation Workers

Jammu, Apr 30: Under the able administration of worthy Director AYUSH J&KUT Dr.Mohan Singh and direct supervision of Dr.Vandana Dogra, District Ayush Officer Jammu /Medical superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu , under its public health outreach program AYUSH Department organized a FREE OUTREACH HEALTH CHECKUP CUM MEDICINES DISTRIBUTION CAMP at JAMMU MUNICIPAL CORPORATION HQ Town Hall Jammu on the occasion of 100th episode of “PM’s MANN KI BAAT” . The camp was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chairman JMC Sh. Rajinder Sharma in presence of Sh. Rahul Yadav, IAS ,CEO Jammu Smart City, Smt.Rimpy Ohri JKAS Joint Commissioner JMC,Dr.Vandana Dogra DAO/Medical suptd. GAH Jammu, Dr.Vinod Sharma chief Health officer JMC Jammu ,Medical Officers,Interns and paramedical staff from Ayush Deptt. About 250 Staff and sanitation workers of JMC took the benefit of the camp .The chief guest and guest of honor inspected the various stalls,, interacted with the staff on the occasion and showed keen interest in the various medicines and modalities of the Ayush. The Yoga sessions were also conducted on the occasion by specialized team of yoga experts from deptt.The Medical checkup was done by specialists of Internal Medicine,Gynaecology Surgery and Panchkarma. Dr.Vandana Dogra DAO/Medical superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu briefed the guests and the audience that the “main motive of such camps is to create maximum awareness and acceptance of the authentic traditional Indian medicine principles and its power to heal various public health problems including Covid-19 Pandemic, life style disorders crippling the society with modern life style. She stressed to follow the “initiative of Vocal to Local and Local to Global””of Hon’ble Prime minister of India endorsed in MANN KI BAAT to promote Indian Ayush Products at global level for the benefit of global community.
A team of medical officers,paramedical staff,internee doctors and yoga therapists guided the people by suggesting Ayurvedic remedies which would help them in dealing with life style disorders, musculoskeletal ailments like backpain ,neck pain,Eye and E.N.T troubles, Gynaecological ailments and other such problems are treated and provided required medicines. Jammu Municipal Corporation lauded the efforts of Directorate of Ayush J&K in creating mass awareness among general public on various health issues and showed keen interest in organizing such camps in future so that Ayush principles of healthy living may be promoted to make Jammu city- healthy and happy.
