| 02 drug peddlers arrested, heroine recovered in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 30: Continuing the drive against Drug Abuse, District Police Rajouri arrested 02 notorious drug peddlers and recovered 450 grams of Heroine like contraband substance from their possession.
In an official statement, police said that during routine checking and frisking at Lam, a police team led by SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia assisted by PSI Kunal Bhargav under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Tussif Ahmed JKPS and ASP Nowshera Mohd Rafi Giri JKPS, noticed suspicious moment of two persons, who when signalled to stop tried to run away from the spot but were caught. On disclosures, disclosed their identities as 1. Mohd Arif s/o Mohd Shabbir r/o samati, Rajouri & 2. Maharoof Ahmed s/o Mohd Nasir r/o Chilllas, Rajouri.
While frisking 450 gms of heroine like narcotic substance was recovered from their possession. On this information FIR No 94/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act registrared at police station Nowshera and investigation has been started to unearth forward and backward linkages.
Sr. Superintendent of Police Rajouri Sh. Amritpal Singh (IPS)while sharing the details stated that Rajouri Police is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the area and people from all sections of the society should come forward and join hands with Police to strengthen anti-narcotics drive of district police which is urgently required to save our future generations.
