KVK, organizes live broadcasting of 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat

Reasi, Apr 30: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the aegis of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized the live broadcasting programme of 100th Episode of radio programme Mann Ki Baat here today at Malad village of Reasi distt. in J&K. Large number of farm women of the area enthuastically attended and listened the live broadcast of the event. The programme was organised under the able guidance of Director Extension (DE), Prof.SK Gupta of SKUAST-J. Before the initiation of the programme, Sr. Scientist and Head of KVK, Reasi formally welcomed the participants and briefed the objectives of the programme. He urged, the participants to listen the live broadcasting of 100th Episode of Mann Ki Baat with full enthusiasm. He said that Mann Ki Baat was aired on 3rd of October,2014 and has become a revolutionary mass movement which addresses the sanitation, health, environment, women empowerment, education etc. of nation He stressed on natural farming to produce the safe and quality food. While addressing the nation on historic 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Hon’ble PM of India, Sh.Narinder Modi said that Mann Ki Baat allowed him to connect with the people and showcased various success stories of many individuals across diverse fields from Atmanirbhar Bharat to Make in India and Start-ups. He interacted with some progressive farmers/entrepreneurs during the programme and applauded their efforts. He said that ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign’ helped in improving the gender ratio in Haryana. He added that Mann Ki Baat has become a unique festival of goodness and positivity for the people. Dr.Lalit Upadhyay, Dr.Suja Nabi Qureshi, Dr.Arvinder Kumar and Ms.Preeti Chaudhary also spoke during the programme on the various agricultural innovations to uplift the socio-economic status of the farmers. They stressed on entrepreneurship development among the Self Help Groups (SHGs). During the programme an interactive session was also organized for the farmers during which various quarries were raised by the farmers which were answered satisfactorily by the experts. Participants showed keenness and happiness in the programme and thanked the Govt. for the timely support. The programme was concluded by Dr.Suja Nabi Qureshi with the formal vote of thanks.
