| RMP number mandatory for prescription | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, JANUARY 13 (INFO)- According to the Controller Drugs & Food Control organization, J&K, Jammu, all the retail drug sale outlets operating in the State, have been asked to dispense the drugs covered under schedule “H” of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 against the prescription of a Registered Medical Practitioner only.
They have been further directed to ensure that the prescription must bear the registration number of the prescriber (R.M.P Number) issued by the Medical Council and also that the prescription is dispensed by the approved qualified person incharge of the establishment.
