DC convenes introductory cum interactive meet with District, Sectoral Officers

KATHUA, May 2: A day after assuming charge as Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas today convened an introductory cum interactive meeting with District/Sectoral Officers, here in the Conference Hall of the DC office complex.
Speaking at the meeting, DC Kathua emphasized the importance of cooperation and urged the officers to work as a team to achieve the desired outcomes. He also highlighted the need for transparency, accountability and efficiency in the government functioning at all levels.
The interactive session was aimed at understanding the concerns and issues faced by the officers and finding ways to resolve the same. The officers were encouraged to share their ideas and suggestions for the betterment of the district. The DC also stressed on having a data driven/ facts based approach for achievement of desired development objectives. He also impressed upon officers to conduct regular field visits to ascertain ground realities/ proper execution of works.
“The introductory cum interactive meet is a step towards building a more efficient and effective administration in Kathua. The officers should engage in constructive discussions and share their views, which will go a long way in improving the overall functioning of the district administration,” the DC said.
The DC said that development of the industrial sector shall be the priority/focus area of the district administration to achieve holistic development of the region.
The DC further called upon all to keep a long term vision for long lasting achievements. He also enjoined upon all to create a balance between personal and professional life, besides showing total commitment during working hours.
Later, the DC also chaired a meeting of revenue officers and discussed issues concerning their department.
