NEW DELHI, May 3: The story of Abdul, the son of a goat herder from Masuda Tehsil, Ajmer, is all too familiar in India. Abdul grew up accompanying his parents herding goats and sometimes even tending to them himself. The idea of doing anything else never crossed his mind. He and his parents were quite content with their modest income.
Individuals from minority communities may not be aware of the opportunities available to them. Hence, it is important to bring awareness and exposure to such communities. Therefore, the state government has set up a school that caters to the needs of minority students, primarily Muslim boys.
The Masuda residential school provides students with all the necessary facilities, including a computer lab, sports facilities, and a library, without any charge. The school is ensuring the upliftment and empowerment of minority communities by providing them with the education and opportunities they need to succeed.
The news of the government's plan to build a school exclusively for children from minority communities made Abdul and his friends excited. He felt a newfound hope and determination, knowing there was more to the world than tending to goats. He will have new friends and get access to new gadgets, as he likes to call them.
Abdul's story is just one among many that illustrate the transformative power of education, especially for children from minority communities. And, the state government has taken an upright decision by establishing the Masuda Minority Residential School. This school shows the government's commitment to ensuring every child from minority communities do have access to quality education. The construction of the school is underway and expected to be completed by the end of 2023. In the meantime, the students are accommodated in a different building, where they continue to learn and progress without any obstacles. The students receive regular classroom education.
