68 year old lady killed in hit & run case

KISHTWAR, May 6: In a tragic accident, 68 year old lady Lakshmi Devi wife of Late Hukum Chand R/o Bun Kuleed died after a speedy motorcycle hit her.
As per the details available with Early Times, the accused Rehan Ashraf son of Mohammad Ashraf Khanday Resident Dachhan A/P Hatta behind District jail Kishtwar was driving the motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK02CP-2011 and hit the deceased women near Jagdama Gas Agency at Kuleed Kishtwar.
As soon as the accident occurred, SHO Police station Kishtwar Syed Abid Shah Bukhari immediately rush to the spot and shifted the injured lady to District Hospital Kishtwar where she scummed to her injuries following which Kishtwar police registered an FIR 101/2023 U/S 304-A /337/304 IPC against the accused and owner of the vehicle.
Dy. SP Hq Kishtwar Ashish Gupta also rush to the hospital and pacified the angry people who demanded immediate arrest of the accused beside an exemplary punishment to the absconding accused.
The accuse is said to be the minor, but police said that after checking the record, only then the exact age of the accused boy who is at large could be ascertained.
Following legal procedures, the dead body of the deceased women was handed over to the legal heirs .
