250 players participate in 2nd late Ravi Tikku Memorial Speed Ball C’ship

JAMMU, May 5: The 2nd edition of Ravi Tikku "Speed Ball Tournament" held at Indoor Sports Complex, International Daily Rising School, Chowadi Sainik Jammu concluded on Saturday.
The tournament was declared open by Mrs Reema Tikku wife of late Ravi Tikku and was organised by J&K Sports Speedball Association In collaboration with International Daily Rising School, Jammu. About 250 players from 20 schools from 4 districts Jammu,Kathua, Samba and Udhampur participated in the event.
The participant schools included Jammu Sanskriti School, Unique International School, Shaurya International School, S.D Tara Puri School, Dogra Hr. Sec.School, Crescent Public School, Mount Litera School, Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar, Army public school School Udhampur, International Daily Rising School , R.M Public School, Shiksha Niketan School Gandhi Nagar, Crescent Sports Club, Nanda sports club and DPS jammu.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Sandeep Mehta SSP, who was the Chief Guest, Munish Gupta (Editor In Chief Early Times) And Vijay Bakaya (former J&K Chief Secretary) were the Special Guests on the occasion.
Other guests included Dr. N.M. Tikku ( brother of Ravi Tikku), Raghav Gupta (M.D International Daily Rising School), Dr Atul Hans (Director Academics International Daily Rising School),. The association bearers Pooja Malhotra (Founder Patron), Renu Devi (Member) Ms. Meera Thusho (Member).
Pooja Malhotra welcomed all the guests and officials on the behalf of J&K Sports Speedball Association.
SSP Sandeep Mehta hailed the efforts of Sunny Nanda (General Secretary JKSSB) for organizing this memorial championship and paid rich tributes to late Ravi Tikku for his contribution.
The Gold Medal winners were Kabir Singh (CPS), Ruchit Kumar (DHSS), Rehan (JSS), Tanmay Verma (JSS), Vinayak Sharma (CPS),Yash Parvan (UIS), Nishant Kumar (APS Udhampur), Samiksha Choudhary (SNS), Rajveer Singh (RMPS),Mohammad Yasir (SNS), Sadhya Sharma (SNS), Prafful (JSS), Pranshi Dogra (DHSS), Ayush (APS Udhampur), Sushant Kumar (DHSS ), Rehan (SDTPS) ), Dhruv Choudhary (CPS).
Double solo team winners were Dhanista & Kavi Devi(UIS), Ridhima & Divyanshi (CPS), Mannat & Liza (JSS), Simrah & Sumaira (RMPS), Mannat & Deepakshi (SDTPS), Tamana & Bhavishika (APS Udhampur).
