DC Ramban inaugurates Gym established under PMEGP scheme at Batote

RAMBAN, May 6: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inaugurated a Revolution Club Gym at Tringla, Batote sponsored by District Industries Centre (DIC) under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and financed by the SBI Batote.
President MC Batote, Ravinder Singh, BDC Chairperson Rajeshwar Kumar, DDC Member, Jagvir Dass, ADC Harbans Lal, Vice President MC Kewal Krishan, President Beoparmandal, Sanjay Gupta other officers and owner of the Gym, besides a large number of locals were present on the occasion.
After the inauguration ceremony, the DC interacted with the locals, especially youth and advised them to take full advantage of these latest machines and equipment.
The Deputy Commissioner asserted that this Gym facility has been created not only for reaching the required fitness levels, but can also be used for channelizing the energy of youth in a constructive way under youth engagement programmes.
He said that Gymnasium is the most popular place among the youth and such well equipped units would help to achieve the target of Fit India.
While congratulating the owner of the Gym, the Deputy Commissioner welcomed the fitness venture which has nowadays become a craze among the fitness buff youth and seen an upward trend here since the 'Fit India Movement' started by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
The DC said that the administration has focused on the effective implementation of PMEGP and Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan, a Prime Minister’s initiative besides encouraging the entrepreneurs, especially youth to establish their self-employment units. He said that such ventures will go a long way in promoting fitness among youth, both men and women besides promoting tourism by providing them such attractive facilities.
He was delighted that 25 new sophisticated machines have been set up in the gym along with a good expert which will help professional as well as amateur body builders.
