5/7/2023 10:44:11 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, May 7: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teacher/Master Association (JKTMA) was held under the chairmanship of State president Rakesh Singh and State General secretary Vivek Gupta attended by score of teachers from all over the state to discuss the burning issues of Transfer and DPC.
While speaking on the occasion Singh strongly demanded to make some modifications in the transfer policy/ online transfer link of Teachers which includes option of Zone with name like zone jib, zone Udhampur etc. and also cluster within zone so that teachers can indicate their first three choice of zone and cluster which is necessary to provide hint to transfer committe about their suitable transfer . "EDIT" button is necessary in the link in order to make some rectifications in the ATD online form if some wrong information is filled by mistake by some teacher," Singh added.
Singh said that there are some inter-district teachers working in other districts, for them choices should include such zones which are near to their parent district, for instance teachers of Jammu, samba , kathua working in district Udhampur prefer zone Tikri, Majalta and Babey of Udhampur District, but their is no such provision in transfer policy/link to fill their choices ,which needs to be added.
Vivek Gupta demanded to consider only such medical certificates which are issued by GMC Jammu and not by District medical boards in order to curb menace of fake medical certificates and also to insert column of RBA/ALC selected teachers to ascertain their duration of service in RBA/ALC areas . Singh demanded to consider math subject while effecting transfers so that every MS/HS and HSS receive one math teacher & for this there should be column of subject in transfer link. Singh demanded from principal secretary SED Alok Kumar to include some local clerks in District transfer committee as they are well versed with the topography of the district and also have experience of transfers.
While inviting attention towards spouse posting category Singh said that there are some employees who are posted outside district/state, in such case their spouses should be posted near their present residence/Zone 1 as far as practicable. The association also strongly urged the higher authorities to conduct DPC of botany/Zoology by 100 % promotion quota on one time basis as per SAC decision this month by excluding distance degree science holders so that studies of HSS students do not adversely suffer due to shortage of lecturers.
Further Association strongly demanded to release the adjustment list of recently promoted Master grades before 11th may 2023 as it was already delayed due to the lethargic approach of concerned authorities. Other demands raised by association are provide choice posting to employees having 58 years of age, fill post of Principal DIET Udhampur Kud within week, provide dislocation/Rural allowance if posted 20 km away from present residence.
