NEW DELHI, JAN 13: Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand, who is on a three day visit to the national capital, called on the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh last evening and apprised him of the political and developmental situation in the State.
The Prime Minister assured Mr. Tara Chand that the State Government would be fully supported in its security and developmental initiatives. Stressing complete coordination among coalition partners, the Prime Minister said the Centre would do everything to strengthen the coalition Government for the development and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Deputy Chief Minister also met Defence Minister, Mr. A.K. Antony and sought compensation in favour of the farmers whose land was affected due to LoC fencing in the State. He also sought timely completion of road projects by the Border Roads Organization. |
