Mughals were invaders, not ancestors; need to set narrative right: Kavinder

MUMBAI, May 8: Batting strictly for setting the narrative right regarding the Mughals, senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday categorically said that Mughals were invaders and not the ancestors of people of India and whatever has been taught in the past needs to be rectified point by point.
Kavinder said this while talking to media persons after having a one to one meeting with Dhirendra Krishna Shastri for over one hour in which threadbare discussion on the vastness of Hindu culture and its importance was held. Kavinder said that Hinduism is the earliest of all religions and it could be said that it is more than a religion, a well designed lifestyle. He said that during the discussion with Shastriji it came to fore that exclusivity of Hinduism is scientific and natural, and solution to every problem is embedded in its culture and traditions.
The BJP stalwart leader said in Hinduism, daily practices are designed in a way to lead a quality life. He said that Hinduism is the greatest of all, not in terms of religion but being a perfect way of living in alliance with nature.
Kavinder Gupta also requested Shastri ji to visit Jammu and Kashmir and have a spiritual discourse there. He said Shastri has assured him to hold Katha in Holy Town Katra very soon.
He said that the people of J&K should not miss this opportunity as Shastriji has in possession spiritual and divine powers, and his discourses have the capability of changing the lives of people.
Replying to a question on Karnataka elections, Kavinder decried Congress party for misleading the electorate by concocting stories and giving unfounded statements on nationalist parties like Bajrang Dal. He said that such a course adopted by the Congress has taken the party to a dead end and this is the reason behind this oldest party's devastation. He said that the stand of Congress on Bajrang Dal has exposed its frustration and desperation to get back the power but the people all over India know well that it is the sinking ship and no power on earth can save it from capsizing. He said no other party except BJP can provide stability in the states and at the centre because all other political entities work for satiating their vested interests but for the BJP nation is its first and last priority and there is nothing above the country.
