Weekly Block Diwas held at 4 locations in Doda district

DODA, May 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Mahajan today chaired the Block Divas program at block headquarter Assar to assess the locals' issues, grievances, aspirations and take feedback from the people. This week Block Diwas program was held at four different locations to address the problems and issues of the public across the district. The places where the mega camps under Block Diwas were Sub Divisional Headquarter Gandoh, Tehsil headquarter Kahara, Block Headquarter Assar and Panchayat Kathyara of Sub District Bhaderwah.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to a range of issues and grievances of the public and directed the concerned officers/officials to resolve the same and to report within 15 days.
The PRIs and general public mentioned different road projects where execution of work is not going on smoothly and regularly. On the spot directions were issued to SE PWD and XEN PMGSY to resolve bottlenecks in a time bound manner and conduct the quality audit of the roads about which the public complained. The CEO was directed to rationalise the teaching staff in remote schools, besides submitting a proposal for merging AWCs having low beneficiary enrollments with nearby schools so that their services can be utilized. The CEO informed the people about the launching of e-kaksha which will enable students of remote schools to get quality education through online classes. The AD FCS&CA was directed to look into the complaints of ineligible households possessing PHH ration cards and replace them with the genuine beneficiaries. The Chief Agriculture Officer was directed to create a seasonal seed store at Top Neel.
Besides, ACR, ACP, ACD, Assistant Commissioner Labour Doda also spoke at length on various government sponsored welfare schemes and asked the public to get benefits of these welfare schemes.
Some of the most important issues which were highlighted during the program at Assar were black topping of roads, ambulance facility at the local hospital, special Adhaar card updation centres for 9 panchayat, play ground in Karnail village, Road to Shamshaan Ghat, upgradation of high school at Bulandpur, posting of doctors at NTPHC Gagala, and other such issues.
The DC, while addressing the gathering, informed that Drone technology will be used to assess the execution of works under PWD, R&B and PHE sectors in addition to the virtual inspection of the works already in practice in the district.
The DC Doda inspected High School Jathi various and ongoing works around the venue of block Diwas by Drone technology.
