DDC Reasi conducts extensive tour of Block Arnas

REASI, May 10: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today conducted an extensive tour of Block Arnas and inspected several developmental projects of R&B, PMGSY, Jal Shakti and RDD Departments.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner, PO, ICDS, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineers of PWD (R&B), Reasi / PMGSY , Mahore/ MID Dharmari, CEO along with PRIs and locals of Panchayats of Block Arnas.
While inspecting NABARD Road from Kanthan to Thalla, the executing agency was directed to complete the work in the given timeline and also to construct an approach path for the Primary school.
Narloo Hunder Road under CRF Languishing scheme was also inspected and the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) was directed to expedite the work and complete it within the three months as per given time line.
The District Development Commissioner also inspected PMGSY Road from Salal to Sarman and directed Executive Engineer, PMGSY to complete the work within the stipulated time period. Deputy Commissioner, Reasi visited the site of under construction Dug well (70% completed), Pump room and GSR of 20,000 Gallon capacity of Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Kanthan and Arnas constructed under JJM.
The Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division Dharmari was directed to expedite and complete the work of both the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) by 31st of May 2023.
The completed works under SBM - the Community Sanitation Complex (CSC) constructed at Salal and Segregation sheds at Chanana Devta, Salalkotli and Salal Panchayat were also inspected by the DC.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited Government Higher Secondary School, Salal and inspected Tile work of the assembly ground constructed under ADF (BDC Grants).
Besides, she inspected the Library, Laboratory and Art Room constructed under Samagra Shiksha and directed the Chief Education Officer, Reasi/Principal, Govt. HSS Salal to make these functional. She also directed for shifting of the Library from existing building to new building, replacement of volleyball net and construction of approach road to the school out of School Development Fund.
Newly constructed meeting hall at Panchayat Ghar at Salal was also inspected and directions were issued to complete the furnishing work by next 15 days.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected PHC, Arnas and directed health functionaries to get the status of the building verified from the PWD department.
