KISHTWAR, May 11: Mission Life Campaign-2023 was organised today at TRC Chattroo under jurisdiction of Udil Forest Range. A number of school children, including the students of Govt Higher Secondary School Chattroo along with Principal and School staff, Local residents, PRIs, Officers/ officials of Forest Department, Wildlife, Protection Force, and Social Forestry participated and took pledge regarding the Life Campaign Mission.
During the campaign, a ceremonial plantation drive was also organised.
On the occasion, SFS DFO Marwah, Vijay Kumar briefed the aims of the campaign for the individuals and communities. He said the campaign aims to encourage environmental friendly practices in the daily use such as use cloth bags for shopping instead of plastic bags, carrying out own water bottles whenever possible, turning off running taps when not in active use and planting more and more trees to reduce the impact of pollution etc. |
