Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar listens to people's issues at Bonjwah

KISHTWAR, May 11: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav, along with a team of District and sectoral Officers conducted an extensive tour of Block Bonjwah the other day to take appraisal of various developmental works and listened to the grievances of the locals at various places. The DC also presided over the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan programme there. After listening to the grievances of people, he redressed many on spot in consultation with concerned officers besides assuring timely redressal of other grievances. He was accompanied by ACD, Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal; DSWO Zubair Ahmed; ExEn PMGSY, Mohinder Kumar; Ex En PHE, Sunil Sharma besides concerned Officers and officials of RDD, Revenue and other line departments.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for establishing a Model Library at GHSS Binoon like that of Kishtwar Reading Hub (24*7 Library) which will be extremely beneficial for the students of Block Bounjwah. He instructed the CEO and the Principal GHSS Binoon to formulate a plan proposal for the repair of the institution under appropriate schemes. During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner asked the RDD authorities to ensure prescribed quality and component ratio in the MGNREGA works and also adhere to the guidelines with regard to the up-gradation of public facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued directives to the concerned officers to prioritize the repair of lanes and drainage systems in different locations, including the lane & drain at FPS Godown and retaining wall of GHSS Binoon under MGNREGA.
During inspection of the Dunadi-Bonjwa Road, the Deputy Commissioner issued stringent directives to the PMGSY authorities to expedite the pending and allied works, including the culvert construction at various intersections. He further directed the PMGSY authorities to start the second stage of construction on the Patnazi Road without delay.
During his visit to Kewa, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the feasibility for construction of a Block-level Waste Segregation Plant and identified suitable land for the same.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner presided over Kissan Sampark Abhiyan programme at Panchayat Binoon, where the farmers were sensitized about various schemes aimed at promoting agricultural growth and development.
