Ritika Trehan with Women’s Club team provides household items to needy family

Jammu, May 11: Chief Spokesperson BJP Mahila Morcha J&K UT Ritika Trehan along with Sparkle Women’s Club team members today visited physically handicapped Mrs Santosh house in Krishna Nagar who lost everything in a tragic fire incident. Santosh along with her daughter with her 4 girl children also stay with her. She is a widow and lone bread earner for family. Fulfilling their social responsibility to serve the needy family, Ritika Trehan along with Sapna Sethi project head and Sparkle Women’s Club team members provided Fridge, furniture, ration, drinks, clothes, TV, trunks, blankets, sheets, mattress, bed etc to Mrs Santosh family.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritika said that PM Modi Govt is committed and firm on providing benefits of all social and economic welfare schemes to each and every section of the society particularly to those who have been left behind in the race of development. She said, in each and every scheme of the Narendra Modi Government the focal points are villages, poor, Dalits, deprived people, Backward Classes, youth and women. She added that the government has announced several pro-people and pro-poor policies and programmes that have touched the lives of all sections of the society. It has also taken many initiatives to boost India’s security and safety and take the country on the path of prosperity and growth. She said, the government’s commitment and pledge is unwavering and firm on ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.
Ritika added that BJP’s belief is firm on all-round development, safety and security of the country. Emphasizing that a society can develop only if it offers equal opportunity of work and education to its women, she said that the Narendra Modi led government has taken several steps in this direction.“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NDA government is committed to empower women and provide them equal opportunities of education and employment,” she said.Prime Minister Modi has reflected this very commitment in his message on the occasion of International Women's Day, where he has saluted the indomitable courage and stellar achievements of women, Ritika said.“Actually, it is only through women's empowerment that an empowered India can be built. Any society can only progress if it respects its women and offers equal opportunity of education and employment.
The NDA government has taken several steps through which the safety and education of women are ensured right from their birth,” Ritika said. She said that BJP stands fully committed to the empowerment of women and in this direction the Union Government has launched a number of schemes specially tailored for women and these have proved quite fruitful especially in Jammu and Kashmir. She said that it is a matter of great pride that out of one crore self help group beneficiaries of Central Government schemes across the country four women SHGs from J&K are among the top 10 performers. She said that this proves the optimum performance of the J&K BJP Mahila Morcha team.
