Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust organizes Tribal Youth Convention

Jammu, May 14: Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (Regd.), a premier organization of Gujjars and Bakerwals of J&K, organized a “One Day Tribal Youth Convention” to felicitate & honour the meritorious Persons/Students who have excelled in the field of Sports, Media, Art/Culture & Academics today on May 14, 2023 (Sunday) in the Sahir Ludhianvi Cultural Hall of GDCT Complex Jammu.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary IAS, (Secretary to Govt. Tribal Affairs Deptt./CEO Mission Youth) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
In the Welcome Address General Secretary GDCT Shareef Chouhan welcomed the Chief Guest & other Dignitaries, Trustees, Awardees, Staff & Students of K.B.P.S., Students & Scholars of Jammu University,Students of PG Gujjar & Bakerwal Hostel of Jammu, Media Persons, other prominent personalities belonging to different social organizations, Panchs & Sarpanches. The prominent among those include Chairman Advocate Shah Mohammad Choudhary, Sr. Vice Chairman Ch. Arshad Ali, Vice Chairman Ch. During Welcome Address the General Secretary also paid rich Tribute to Baba e Qoum Dr. Masud A Choudhary Founder GDCT. This programme is continuation of the mission started by Late Dr. Masud Choudhary Saheb to work for the welfare & upliftment of the community. This time GDCT decided to connect with the youth of the community by encouraging them to work harder to succeed in their lives.
Chairman of the Trust during his speech described the aims & objectives of the Tribal Youth Convention & he emphasized the youth to work hard & succeed in their respective fields of Education, Sports, Art/Culture & Media as well.
During the Convention different items of traditional Gojri Culture were presented by different Artists like Gojri Geet by Ms. Anisa Karim, Gojri Bait by Mr. Gulnaz Chouhan, Traditional Gojri Dance & Song by Mr. Sadakkit Ali Bajran & Party, Gojri Rapp Song & Action by Mr. Aamir Chouhan & traditional Gojri Song by Ms. Naseem Akhter Kasana. The audience present in the Hall were fully entertained by the live performances of the Artists & the performers were appreciated with loud clappings.
The Chief Guest in his speech shared his long association, experience with Dr. Masud A Choudhary Founder GDCT, Founder VC BGSBU & Former ADGP, he appreciated the contributions made by Dr. Masud Choudhary Saheb. He stressed on youth of the community to contribute their services to the society. He also appreciated the efforts made by GDCT management to Honour the Youth of the community. He further said that it will be a true homage to Baba e Qoum Dr. Masud A Choudhary.
The Chief Guest was presented a Memento by the Chairman & Trustees. The proceedings of the whole programme were conducted by Mtr. Naseem Akhter (Trustee) & Mr. Mukhtar Choudhary (Radio Kashmir, Jammu). Both of them were also presented certificates of appreciation for conducting the programme nicely. Vote of thanks was presented by Sr. Vice Chairman Ch. Arshad Ali.
At the end, all the participants of the Convention were served Lunch.
