DDC inaugurates CBC's 2 Day Photo Exhibition on Amrit Mahotsav, G20, at Moungri Mela

UDHAMPUR, May 15: District Development Council (DDC) member, Pancheri- Moungri, Jasvir Singh on Monday inaugurated Photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, G20 Presidency and Mission LiFE- Conservation of water organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Udhampur, at Moungri. The Photo exhibition mounted at Sai Dabber, during the historic Shiv Parvati Mela, Sar Dabber Moungri in district Udhampur is part of various outreach activities being organized by CBC, Jammu & it's Field Offices in UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
The 2 -day long exhibition showcases the freedom struggle of India through a series of photo exhibits.
The aim of the Photo exhibition is to generate awareness among the masses regarding the various initiatives & welfare programmes of Government of India. It is an effort to familiarize people with the objectives and vision behind Amrit Mahotsav and how people can be a part of the campaign.
In his address, DDC member, Pancheri- Moungri appreciated the efforts of the CBC, Field Office Udhampur in organizing the Photo exhibition and urged people to visit the exhibition. He also exhorted youth especially students to visit the Exhibition for an insight into the freedom struggle of India. Speaking about the Mission Life, DDC member said, today welfare schemes move in mission mode, so that we can get connected with the schemes. He urged CBC Field Office Udhampur to organise such programmes in other hilly areas of Pancheri- Moungri.
Field Publicity Officer, CBC, Udhampur, Khursheed Yousuf while welcoming the guests gave a detailed overview of the functioning, structure and working of CBC, in the twin UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He also briefed the audience about various outreach activities that will be organized during the event. Yousuf said that these programmes are being organized so that people get benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government.
Karnail Singh, Naib Tehsildar Moungri spoke on the implementation of the Central Sponsored Schemes of Revenue department and urged all to come forward and take benefits from these schemes.
Others Present during the event Tehsildar Moungri, Narinder Kumar, Principal Govt. Higher Seconary School, Moungri and Damnote and Officials from other departments, PRI members from various Panchayats, Teachers, Students, and locals.
During the day long programme, apart from other activities, Open Quiz Competition, Expert Lectures, and Cultural Programmes were conducted. IEC material was also distributed among the audience.
In run up to Exhibition, CBC, organized Govt. High School Panjar to mobilize and aware about the various activities being organized by CBC during the Photo Exhibition. During the Pre-event, Suresh Kumar, Headmaster GHS Panjar and Sarpanch Panjar, Koushal Kumar presided over the function.
The Exhibition is open to the public up to 16th May, 2023 during which people may visit the exhibition participate in open Quiz competition and enjoy the cultural programmes.
