IGNOU opens online portal for fresh admission

Jammu, May 15: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the online portal for fresh admissions for the July 2023 session for the academic year 2023-24. IGNOU Offers UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate programmes. The desirous candidates can fill the application form through online mode. The minimum eligibility criteria for UG courses are that students must pass 10+2 from a recognized university, and for PG courses, candidates must be a graduate from a recognized university. Seeking applicants can access the admission portal at www.ignou.ac.in or directly follow the link https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Candidates aspiring for admission will be able to complete their admission process on this portal before the deadline. The last date to apply for admission through the online portal is June 30, 2023.
IGNOU offers admission to various UG, PG, Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma programmes in distance learning and online education mode. IGNOU offers multiple courses such as BSW, MBA, MCA, BCA, MA English and Masters in Rural Development in online mode. As per the new UGC guidelines, candidates can now study two online or offline programmes at the same time.
Before filling the admission form online, a candidate needs to create a User ID and Password on the SAMARTH portal and be ready with a Mobile No., Email ID, properly scanned academic documents, photograph and Bank Debit /Credit/Net Banking for payment of fee. To enroll in the next year or semester, candidates must fill and submit the IGNOU re-registration July 2023 form by the submission deadline. The students who did not attempt the term-end examinations or did not submit their assignment can still apply for re-registration for July 2023 provided the minimum duration is completed and programme validity has not expired. They can apply for IGNOU re-registration July 2023 by visiting the official website of the IGNOU www.ignou.ac.in. The direct link for online re-registration is https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in/ which can be accessed under the drop-down menu option “Register Online” on IGNOU website. “The desirous candidates who wish to be a member of IGNOU extended family can avail this opportunity and apply for any of the programmes of their choice well before the last date”, said Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director In charge. “In case any student forgets his/her User ID/password or changes the registered mobile number at later stages, he/she must approach the Regional Centre or drop a mail on [email protected] with the request to reset the password”, said Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director In charge.
