Sadhotra demands special girdawri of rabi crop
5/15/2023 10:37:43 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 15: Due to unprecedented rains and hail storm, about 70% standing wheat crop has been damaged. Till date neither Revenue Authorities nor crop Insurance Companies have come to assess the wheat crop damages. It looks as if Kisan has been left at the Mercy of the Almighty God. And tall claims of BJP double Engine Govt. at the Center and in Jammu and Kashmir are making hollow slogans for increasing double the income of farmers where as on ground the cost of farming has increased by double and farmers are feeling disgusted as there is no body to listen to them, said Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Former Minister and Senior Leader National Conference, while addressing a public meeting at KOTE in Jammu North Assembly Constituency.
He said BJP is giving lip service to kisans and they are feeling helpless and cannot make two ends meet from what so ever is coming as a return from crops. Increase in the cost of farming and inputs has pushed Kisan toward wall. Sadhotra demanded that it is high time that Govt. should conduct SPECIAL GIRDAWRI for the damaged RABI CROP and should give adequate compensation for the damage.
Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra being welcomed by the prominent of village Kote in public meeting
He said since DOUBLE ENGINE SARKAR of BJP has become anti Kisan and Policies of BJP have been exposed, and it has created such a situation that New Generation is least interested in KHETI BADI.
Sadhotra has also demanded that Insurance Companies be activated so that Kisan gets Compensation without going from one pillar to another, as per past experience Kisans are ditched by the Insurance Crop Companies. Former Minister said Kisan is the back bone of the Country and emphasized the need of giving top priority to Kisans to solve their problems in order to increase the crops and the return income of Kisan.
Further while addressing, National Conference leader congratulated Women Folk on the Mother's Day. He said women have always played pivotal role in reforming society. He said we should salute women folk for running the kitchens at such a time when the prices of essential items are touching the sky and added that government is least bothered about price rise and empowering women folk.
