JAMMU, May 18: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) organized a two-day blended mode workshop from May 17th to May 18th, 2023, at SCERT-J&K Divisional Office Jammu, with the aim of developing guidelines for the "Contextualization of NCF for Foundational Stage 2022." The workshop, held under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, emphasized the importance of aligning the document with the local flavor and traditions of Jammu and Kashmir. The inaugural ceremony was attended by H.R. Pakhroo, Joint Director of SCERT-J&K Divisional Office Jammu, along with Prof. Swaran Singh, Prof. Surjit Kumar, Associate Prof. N.P. Singh, and Associate Prof. Kishore Kumar. Rakhi Atri, Sr. Academic Officer at SCERT-J&K Divisional Office Jammu, delivered the welcome address. During the workshop, the need to develop guidelines for the NCF-FS 2022, considering the topography and cultural aspects of Jammu and Kashmir, was emphasized. The experts were encouraged to collaborate with SCERT-J&K to ensure the desired objectives of the workshop are met. The National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS), developed by NCERT, was released on October 20th, 2022, by the Union Education Ministry. The workshop aimed to address the challenges and issues related to the implementation of the NCF-FS 2022 in the upcoming academic session.
The training program was coordinated by Rakhi Atri, Sr. Academic Officer, with the support of the organizing team, including Amit Sharma, Anil Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Pratibha Jamwal, Akash Khajuria, and Meena Thakur.
