NC leader accuses BJP Government of failing to fulfill promises made to people
5/18/2023 10:34:31 PM
Early Times Report
HIRANAGAR, May 18: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of the National Conference in Jammu, criticized the BJP Government at the Centre for not delivering on the promises it had made to the people during the election campaign.
Speaking at a workers meeting in Hiranagar on Thursday, Gupta highlighted the issues faced by border dwellers along the IB and LoC. He stated that the people residing in these areas are grappling with numerous problems, while the BJP government and its administration in J&K are merely making empty promises without taking concrete action.
Gupta pointed out that the pledges made regarding border battalions and 5 marla plots for border dwellers have turned out to be false. He urged the people of J&K to support the NC leadership in upcoming political contests, including Assembly polls, in order to rescue them from the difficulties created by the BJP Government.
The senior NC leader also highlighted the challenges faced by farmers in Hiranagar due to new land laws and the overall neglect of citizen rights. He criticized the lack of basic amenities, such as potable water and electricity, as well as the inadequate healthcare system in the region.
Gupta emphasized the need to oust the incompetent dispensation both in J&K and at the Centre and give the NC a chance to address the aspirations of the people and restore social harmony. He also highlighted the difficulties faced by farmers in obtaining hybrid seeds and fertilizers, resulting in poor crop yields.
Gupta urged the people to support Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah to establish a people-centric government that prioritizes the concerns of the common man, unlike the BJP Government that favors a select few.
The meeting was attended by various party officials and members, including Pardeep Bali, Vijay Lochan, Abdul Gani Teli, Sagar Chand, Satpaul, B.D Sharma, Yashpaul, Sham Mehra, Jagjit Singh Adv, Raj Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Hari Singh, Ch. Karam Din Chopra, Ch. Rehmat, and others.
