| DHEW raises awareness on women-centric schemes | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, May 19: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Reasi, in association with Mission Shakti, organized an awareness program on Women Entrepreneurship Programme, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav." The DHEW team conducted the program specifically for young individuals currently enrolled in skill development courses at the PMKVY Office. They shared information about women entrepreneurship programs such as PMEGP, Tejaswini, and Women Development Corporation, encouraging participants to avail financial assistance under these programs to start their own small businesses and become self-reliant. Additionally, the participants were educated about the harmful effects of drugs and their consequences. They were provided with the national free helpline number 14446 and the Anti-Drug helpline number 9070907017, enabling them to report cases of drug abuse and drug peddling to combat the drug menace in society. Furthermore, they were made aware of the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana. Towards the end, pamphlets containing information on women-centric schemes were distributed among the attendees. |
